What belongs to Barianca Knepscheld and Be Bright Classroom Tools, and what nobody may do with it.
Last updated 25 October 2026
Be Bright Classroom Tools is not a free pile of material. It is owned by its founder and creator, Barianca Knepscheld, and the app, the way it works, the words on its screens, the games in it and the teaching tools in it were made by her and belong to her.
This page says plainly what belongs to the app and what belongs to you, what nobody is allowed to do with it, and what happens if somebody does it anyway. It reads alongside the terms of service and the privacy policy.
The name Be Bright Classroom Tools and its logo belong to Barianca Knepscheld.
Everything that makes up the app itself: its look and design, the words on its screens, its teaching tools, its games, the way lessons and course packs are built, the reports and printable documents it produces, the letters written to teachers, and the code behind all of it.
The material the app itself provides, such as the games it builds and the template wording it uses, stays the app's own. It is lent to you for teaching for as long as you use the app, and it is not given away with it.
Your own material stays yours: the courseware and books you upload, the lessons you plan, your notes, your students' details, your records and reports, your rates and your payments.
Nothing on this page takes any of that from you, and the app claims no ownership of it. What you put in, you may take out.
Copy or rebuild any part of the app, or make another product out of it that does the same job.
Take the app's wording, design, games, teaching tools, lesson structures or letters and use them in another app, website, course, book or product.
Resell the app, rent it out, charge other people for access to it, or share one account between several people.
Work through the app in bulk to lift its content, copy it out automatically, or try to reach the parts of it that are not offered to you.
Remove or hide the copyright notice, use the app's name or logo for something else, or present the app or any part of it as something you made yourself.
The app and everything in it belong to Barianca Knepscheld and are protected by copyright under the Copyright Act 98 of 1978 of South Africa, and by the international agreements South Africa is part of. Copyright begins the moment something is made: nothing has to be registered for it to belong to its maker, and this page stands as the notice of it.
The name and the logo are also used by Barianca Knepscheld as trade marks, so they may not be taken for another product or for a look-alike one.
If you would like to quote the app, show it to a group, write about it, or use a part of it in material of your own, ask first through the Support Centre and say what you would like to use and where. Permission is often given, and it is always given in writing.
Teaching your own lessons with the app is exactly what your plan is for, and this policy does not stand in the way of that at all.
A textbook, a worksheet or a video belongs to whoever published it, not to this app and not to you. You may upload only material you have the right to use with your students.
What you upload is kept private to your account and is never published, offered or shared by the app itself.
Access is closed for an account that copies the app or its material, or that shares itself with other people, and that account is not reopened.
Copying can also be pursued under the law by Barianca Knepscheld, including asking a court to order the copied material to be taken down and to award damages for it. Where a company does the copying, it is the company that answers for it.
If you find the app, its wording, its games or its material somewhere else, or you believe a teacher's material has been taken, tell us through the Support Centre inside the app. Say what you found, where you found it, and when.
Every report is read, and where the report is correct, the steps above are taken.
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date, and a change that matters is pointed out rather than slipped in.
